Biography
André Faucher | Fine Art Toy Photographer
My creations combine photography, figurines and digital art

Well installed in my studio in the suburbs of Montreal, I stage toys and figurines. I seize thereafter THE magic moment, sometimes by capturing the illusion of movement, sometimes by giving life to an emotion where it does not exist. I undertake to offer you funny, inspiring and sometimes images touching... to decorate your walls.

Biography

Originally from Sainte-Philomène (now Mercier) in Montérégie, Quebec, André began his career as an advertising agency in Montreal in 1983. Three years later, he started his own business as a graphic designer.

Wanting to improve his graphic concepts, he follows an intensive training in photo editing to become a professional retoucher. He works for renowned photographers here and abroad on projects of international scope.

In 2014, his creative "Winter Evening" was selected and published in the prestigious "Ballistic Publishing’s EXPOSÉ 11". Ballistic Publishing is recognized as one of the best digital art books in the world. For this edition, more than 8,000 artists from 65 countries submitted their images and only 350 of them were published.

This is when the idea of creating works germinates in his mind. Digital works inspired by poetry, storytelling and classical music. Little by little it leaves its mark. Thus his work "Mozart's Requiem" is now part of the archives of the International Mozarteum Foundation in Austria.

Wanting to reconnect with his first passion, the world of superheroes, fantasy and magic, he literally changed course and now takes photographic works from figurines by integrating them into an imaginary world produced using clay, gouache and cardboard.
